Dear Members,
With Christmas just around the corner, I would like to highlight a number of important issues for your attention.
Boundary Commission
I am dedicating this newsletter to the new Boundary Commission electoral arrangements for Fylde Borough. As you will see on the website, Fylde has been reorganised from 21 wards into 17 wards, with the current quota of Borough councillor dropping from 51 to 37. Almost every ward will become bigger, and most will be renamed to reflect the changes. As far as the Fylde Conservative Association is concerned, we are now tasked to reorganise our ward branch structures so as to reflect the new electoral map, and that will mean new committees being formed. Once that has been done, then the process of selecting approved candidates for the 2023 Borough elections can commence. The management team are beginning this provess, and will keep members informed at each step of the way.
Christmas Luncheon
Just a reminder to all members that the Christmas Luncheon is at The Bedford Hotel on Thursday 16th December 2021. If you would like to attend, please contact the FCA office before Tuesday 7th December to express interest and we ashall endeavour to contact you regarding the number of guests you are bringing and their choice of meal.
Merry Christmas!
Finally, may I take this opportunity to wish all of our members a very Merry Christmas and a happy, peaceful and above all healthy New Year!
Best wishes,
Roger Small - Chairman of the Fylde Conservative Association
