Dear Members,
I hope this finds you well and enjoying our variable summer to date. I am told lots of rain is at least good for gardens!
St. Annes Branch
At the time of writing, the new St. Annes Branch meet tonight (29th June), so we are looking for a good turnout to get the branch on its feet.
Lytham Branch
Lytham have made a start with their social events, and have an Afternoon Tea at Lytham Hall on Sunday 10th July 2022. If you would like to attend, please contact Tim Ashton on 07802 351910 to reserve your tickets.
Rural Branch
Rural are hosting their Prty in the Garden on Sunday 3rd July 2022 from 3pm at the home of Sue and Alan Ashton. If you would like to attend, please contact Sue Aston on 01253 731572 for further details.
Council Elections May 2023
I am intending to put this on as a regular item leading up to the elections next year. Fylde will have new wards, and less council seats to contend with. It is our intention to contest every seat with a Conservative candidate. To that end, we are beginning interviews in the very near future. If you would like to hear more details on how to become a Conservative candidate, and then hopefully a councillor, please feel free to contact me on 07724 304607 where I am happy to discuss aspects of the role.
St. Annes Town council
St. Annes is a model of what a well-run Town Council can actually achieve. Huge credit must go to the Town council and the Carnival Committee for a hugely successful carnival four days, a truly fantastic return after the pandemic. On the 6th July 2022, there will be the monthly litter pick by your Town Councillors.
Fylde Borough
For the size of Fylde, the council achieves a great deal in making this borough a fantastic place to live. We arenow in the summer season of events with Lytham Festival just starting. This is now an international event bringing huge investment into the borough. Over the coming weeks, there will be a number of sporting and recreational events, using the beaches and the green, as well as our sporting venues for both our residents and visitors to enjoy.
