Councillors are there to represent the interests of the residents of their wards and to provide help and support to people if they need help. I think it is important that when you are contacted you respond as quickly as possible and you try your best for people.
As a retired headteacher, I am keen to ensure our schools are constantly improved to the highest standards. This is an issue close to my heart, my own children were educated in our local schools and my wife worked at a local school too.
As Deputy Leader of the Council, I have been involved in making our beaches safer, cleaner and more accessible to users both local and visitors.
Safe beaches are important if people are to enjoy them so we have ensured signage is bright clear and informative. The new Windsports Centre cafe is already proving a popular attraction.
In Kilnhouse we have suffered in recent years from unauthorised access by travellers. This has caused residents a great deal of anxiety. We wanted to ensure our parks could not be entered illegally so we installed wooden bollards the length of the perimeter. Since their installation we have had no further incidents.
I hope I can rely upon your support in May so I can continue to work for Kilnhouse.
SMALL, Roger
