I’ve lived in Ansdell and Lytham since 1995 and I’ve been proud to represent Ansdell for the past five years. I am the Vice Chairman of the Environment, Health and Housing committee where we have pushed through an extensive tree-planting programme and created a flood response team with our partners at the Environment Agency, United Utilities and Lancashire County Council. We’re planting 3,000 trees in the next 12 months and our flooding team have helped protect hundreds of homes and businesses.
In Ansdell, I want to see our road surfaces improved around the Rossall Road area; Lancashire County Council gave us a commitment these would be repaired
and we will hold them to that in the next year. I fully support our In Bloom team in Ansdell and helped secure extra funding this year for our dedicated volunteers to continue their fantastic work improving our street scene.
I want to see Ansdell Institute flourish as a community hub and helped secure £18,500 for a new community
kitchen in the building. In Fairhaven, I welcome Fylde Council’s ongoing improvements to the Lake with more to come.
I manage bids for a multinational consultancy and previously worked as caseworker and communications manager for our local Member of Parliament, and prior to that as the news and content manager for seven newspapers, including the Blackpool Gazette and Lytham St Annes Express.
I live in Ansdell with my wife Lucy, who teaches locally, and our two daughters.
