Since being elected as a Town Councillor in 2019, I have taken on various leadership roles including chairman of the Community and Neighbourhood group and Town Mayor in 2022/23. A particular highlight has been meeting so many residents and visitors during the events in the town.
Working with the community is a passion, and becoming a Fylde Borough Councillor would be the next step in this work. I feel strongly that all tiers of local government should work together.
As well as being a Councillor, I sing with the Trinitas Day Choir raising funds for Trinity Hospice, I am also a qualified Celebrant and
was delighted to officiate at the first ever Wedding to be held on St Anne’s beach.
I am keen to work with sustainable issues, such as hydration points which take single-use plastic bottles out of use and help to protect the environment in the future. I will also push for imaginative schemes to bring visitors to St Anne's which will support the local economy.
I have lived in St Anne's for almost 30 years and I worked as school attendance officer at Lytham St Anne's High School before taking early retirement in 2017. In my spare time I help to look after my 5-year old granddaughter.
