Since 2017 I have represented Warton & Westby ward on Fylde Borough Council and it has been a privilege to serve the residents and be their eyes and ears in the local community.
Working as a farmer at my family farm, Ridgeway Farm, all my life has proven to be hugely beneficial in my role as your representative. I have naturally collated an unprecedented amount of local knowledge particularly with regard to rural and environmental issues. Born and bred in the Fylde, I proudly raise my family in the heart of Wrea Green. As a father, I strive to achieve positive growth for our community because I want our children and the many generations to come to relish residing within a thriving rural area.
On Fylde Council I hold the responsibility of Vice Chairman of the Operational Management Committee which deals with waste, recycling, coastal defences, vehicles, public conveniences, cemetery and crematorium, and car parks. I am also appointed to the Sea Wall Project Board which is overseeing the £12m spend on replacing crumbling sea defences.
In my personal time, I enjoy spending time with my family in the great outdoors enjoying many walks within our rural community.
It is an honour to stand as a representative and a support to many within my local community; neighbours, friends, businesses, charities, schools to name a few. With your support, I look forward to continuing to represent you in the future in the new ward of Wrea Green with Westby.
