I am from a large Warton-based family, with a farming background, and I attended Wrea Green Primary School and then Carr Hill High School. I am now the proud father of a 7 year old daughter and, together with my partner, we work hard running stables for 30 horses as well as being heavily involved in my family business in the heart of Warton. My family have been in the grave-digging business for churchyards throughout Fylde for many years. About 12 years ago I trained to become a Funeral Director and we opened the family business, Marsdens Funeral Home. During this time, I have met and spoken to many families and made good friends. I am passionate about my local area and am honoured to be a Fylde Borough Councillor for Warton from 2019.
During my time on the council, I have served on the Environment, Health and Housing and the Operational Management Committees, which have dealt with important large-scale projects, for example the sea defences, anti-flooding measures and housing needs. In the Ward I have taken up many causes on behalf of residents, for example dealing with noise nuisance, bus shelters, and flooding at Wrea Brook. I speak up for my residents with our MP and County Councillors and believe in practical solutions to get things done. I regularly attend Warton Parish Council and am readily available for my residents.
I would be honoured to be re-elected to represent Warton and always aim to do my best.
